Join our focus group: high speed rail impact on indigenous communities

Event overview

This focus group is part of our ongoing work to improve infrastructure across Canada in ways that respect indigenous perspectives, culture, and needs. The session will provide a space for open discussion about current challenges, future plans, and how transport projects may affect communities.

What will happen

• A short presentation outlining proposed transport projects and why your input is needed

• Small group discussions facilitated by our team, focusing on:

  • Access to public transport (bus, rail, ferry services)

  • Road safety and connectivity between communities

  • Environmental and cultural impacts of transport projects

  • Opportunities for co-design and incorporating indigenous knowledge

• Recording of feedback through notes, audio (with consent), and written submissions
